Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is both a privilege and a great pleasure to invite you to take part in the SEERCP 2009 – THE SOUTH-EAST EUROPEAN REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF PSYCHOLOGY – 2009: Southeastern Europe Looking Ahead - Paradigms, Schools, Needs and Achievements of Psychology in the Region,  Bulgaria, Sofia, 30 October – 1 November 2009.

On behalf of the Program and Organizing Committee of the SEERCP2009, I would like to assure you that in Sofia you will meet interesting colleagues, great speakers and contributors, participate in a scientific program covering a wide specter of psychological fields, and  enjoy the opportunity to join meetings, workshops and social events with colleagues and friends from across the region and the world.

SEERCP2009 will be hosted by the Bulgarian Psychological Society in partnership with the Sofia University “St.Kliment Ohridski”, the Institute of Psychology – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Bulgarian Association of Young Psychologists “4 April” under the auspices of IAAP, IUPsyS, EFPA, IACCP, and EHPS. The scientific program of the conference will include 2 plenary sessions, 12 thematic symposia and a wide variety of more than 25 workshops, open forums and round tables.

By July 30, 2009 authors and contributors from all 5 continents submitted more than 350 abstracts of keynote addresses, papers, posters, round tables and workshops  addressing the SEERCP2009 domains. The conference will provide space for thematic discussions, round tables, training and capacity-building workshops, paper and poster sessions. They reflect the interactive and capacity-building nature of this regional forum and are jointly organized by people or institutions that represent different academic and applied approaches; or a combination of academic and applied psychology agencies, as well as collaboration of institutes of different countries in SEE region. All written materials and papers presented at SEERCP 2009, will be published in the Bulgarian Journal of Psychology by the end of 2009. Do not hesitate – bring materials, books, anything you can display at SEERCP 2009 stands to present your work and organizations!

Official language for communication at SEERCP2009 is English. SEERCP 2009 is youth-friendly event with lots of opportunities for young psychologists and students of psychology to build long-lasting networks.

Please, send our official conference services partner – CIM Ltd. your completed Registration forms by the end of September 2009. Do not overlook the social program components in the form too. We are looking for your comments, questions and suggestions before the end of SEERCP 2009 preparation phase in mid-October 2009! In case you need our support for visa application do not hesitate and inform us about the support and information you may need to organize your travel to Bulgaria. All colleagues who are willing to subscribe, are warmly welcome to join the specially designed and free e-mail based SEEPsychologyForum which will be open even in 2010 to allow us to follow up our achievements and commitments, and also to present the results of the SEERCP 2009 to all who couldn’t join us in Sofia.

    in order to receive official personalized invitation and visa support letters for SEERCP 2009, the Organizing Committee needs to receive first your applications for registration as psychologists or students of psychology willing to contribute to the program of the South-East European Regional conference.     it is great that you and Dr Irimia Mihaela are interested to join the conference! I am sure that your professional and cross-cultural experience can help SEERCP2009 (many of them interested in psychotherapy) to learn and discuss. We are discussing right know SEERCP2009 organizing and scientific program committee to open a new symposia in the program – PSYCHOTHERAPY – THEORY, PRACTICE AND PROFESSION. I would be glad if you join as key speaker, presenter, and paper author. Please follow the updates in the program section in our website, and keep in touch. I am clinical psichologist ( dr P.H.D – please take a look in my site) want to participate with dr irimia mihaela – ( dr in medicine and a psihotherapist) maybe you can open our eyes how to contribute from our experience. After reading my website you will know about me more and especially that i come from Israel to Romania the country that my parents were born. waiting for your answer.
